PAX is a long-wearing body makeup that is commonly used for full body paint. I wrote this review up about my experience with it for my FFX Shiva cosplay and originally posted it on the Makeup Reviews forum on cosplay.com, and since then I've had a lot of questions from people who have never even heard of PAX and would like to try it. So I figured I would repost it for anyone interested in a long-lasting body makeup solution. ^_^
beautifully done! and great review! i'm mem'ing this one for sure!
Thanks! I'm so glad it was useful ^_^
I've always been curious about body paint, and this is a wonderful resource. Thanks so much for posting it! I'm mem'ing as well~
that just looks gorgeous. i've always wanted to cosplay shiva. you've definitely given me ideas!
Ohhhhk, for one, that is amazing! :) And two. Would you have any advice for someone who is going to be painting themselves all red? For instance, having to put baby powder all over after the latex has dried. I just don't want to look dusty I suppose :)
Hey i was looking at your review on the PAX body paint and i've just got a small question for you :) what type of acrylic paint did you use to mix with it? Dose it have to be a certain kind or dose it not matter~!
You look amazing! I'm def going to favor this in case I ever need a heavy duty body paint :3
This blog is bookmarked! I really love the stuff you have put here.
What did you use on your face? I did a test run on just my face and it shows all the wrinkles and just didn't look that great (but I'm still going to use it for the rest of my body).
In my group of friends a lot of the cosplayers use pax along the neck/jaw/nose (the less-wrinkly bits) and then blend in with Ben Nye or Mehron over the rest of the face. It works pretty well, since you're not going to be brushing your face on your pants or opening doors with it or anything, so you don't need quite the same degree of durability. :P
I'll keep that in mind!
If you go swimming would you have to repowder? :0 I think it'd be really neat to have water photos!
Oh also! Like ben nye, are you AWARE of your makeup? Or does it feel like skin? I know from experience that Ben nye makes you very aware of yourself probably because you cant scratch or get it on anything, and it can be exhausting!
