Hi everybody! I'm a newbie to cosplay, so I have a couple of questions about it.See, my boyfriend and I are going to be spending the weekend at Anime North this coming May, and he's expressed an interest in cosplaying together for the weekend, and in particular the Moonlight Ball! However, seeing as neither of us know the ins-and-outs of making our own costumes (and we won't be able to learn in time to make our own) I was wondering if anyone could point me to some safe, reliable sites on which we could order a cosplay?Specifically, we're hoping to find Squall's SeeD uniform since it's more formal for the ball, and I won't have a problem finding a dress of my own to wear to immitate Rinoa, however, we'll take what we can get. So yeah, some suggestions for starting out would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance :DP.S.I do hope questions like this are allowed? I read the rules and didn't see anything stating otherwise, so...yeah ^^;
Hi all! I'm always doing cosplays based off of Final Fantasy (good thing I belong to this community, right? XD) Well, anyways, today I have the museum version of Stella From Final Fantasy Versus XIII! Enjoy, thanks for looking! ^__^( StellaCollapse )
I recently did a photoshoot (since it wasn't freezing cold this weekend) of my FFVI Daryl (or Darill depending on the translation) costume. This is probably my favorite costume I've made, as I had to be creative because my reference image was this:I combined some elements from various Amano designs to make the costume more detailed looking. I made everything except the sword, which was made by darcenciel. I took the pictures myself too, on a deck to try and look like an airship. ( rest of the shoot under the cutCollapse )
I just finished my Advent Children Tifa and I want to show you the results!
Hello all! I'm very, very interested in cosplaying as Jihl Nabaat for a couple of cons next year. The majority of her uniform is no problem, but her long coat is very intricate and I'm simply not skilled enough to reproduce it. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice for me? Maybe you know someone that does good work and is willing to do a commission?
This is going to sound really strange, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me order a wig off a foreign site? I hope to be cosplaying Aqua at a convention coming up, from Kingdom hearts, and I found the ~perfect~ wig. http://www.otamap.net/SHOP/alf007rbbk.htmlWell, perfect in my opinion X3 However, i don't understand anything on that site. I don't know the specifics about the wig, what it's made of, how much it costs or how much to ship it to Ontario, Canada. I keep MEANING to learn the language, but I can only handle one language at a time, and i'm currently finishing up my french D:So if anyone is able to give me a hand, or walk me through it [or if anyone knows where I can get a good Aqua wig elsewhere?] I would be SO HAPPY.Thanks so much!Thank you so much to kuririnchan for helping me with the site! It looks like they don't ship to Canada though, so! If anyone is able to recommend a commissioner to make something like the wig above, or a place or person that is really good for wigs, that would be wonderful! Finding a blue short wig is harder than I thought! D:Thank you! Again!
Tifa was my first ever cosplay and I recently decided to fix her up since most of the costume was showing a bit of wear from multiple cons over the years. OGC Tifa seems to be getting popular among cosplayers again, as I saw so many more this year than in the past (Advent Children Tifa was the more popular version for the last few years).Many thanks to Eurobeat King for taking this awesome photos at Nan Desu Kan this year!xposted to cosplay( more Tifa photosCollapse )
I made this for a contest, but I ended up too late to enter. It was an "original version of an existing FF character", and I chose to invert the colors of Oerba Dia Vanille's outfit so I wouldn't feel lazy.( Two pictures below the cutCollapse )
Hihi~Is anyone going to London MCM expo in october?Because i really really want to get together a Final fantasy VII cosplay group.I know there are many big groups already, but i wanted a smaller, more friendly one. ^3^I will be cosplaying Advent Children Tifa, but it doesn't matter if there are more than one! ^___^
I got some cool effects on some pics I took, just thought I'd share! ^^( Here comes the sun! XDDCollapse )
PAX is a long-wearing body makeup that is commonly used for full body paint. I wrote this review up about my experience with it for my FFX Shiva cosplay and originally posted it on the Makeup Reviews forum on cosplay.com, and since then I've had a lot of questions from people who have never even heard of PAX and would like to try it. So I figured I would repost it for anyone interested in a long-lasting body makeup solution. ^_^

I ran off to glorious Metrocon this past weekend and naturally got a ton of pictures. Most of them are actually of Final Fantasy cosplayers since that's what I'm rightly obsessed with! And I was Zack and Cosmos, so it all fits. ;DThere's a couple of pictures in there that are nsfw, but there's a warning in there if you need to scroll really fast past them.(Pictures, oh picturesss.)
So my friend iskodayinikwe and I dressed up as Hojo and Lucrecia for another friend's wedding.No really. So these are kind of fancy versions of Lucrecia and Hojo; no labcoats, Lucrecia's dress in particular was based on her Crystal Cave dress (and not white because hello, we were at a wedding). Hojo was just based on Lucrecia's dress coloring and what she would make him wear for dressing up.Oh and I'm the Hojo, she's the Lu.But here's some pics!( Lu and Hojo all fancy-likeCollapse )
Hey everyone~ I was in Los Angeles for Anime Expo and took a lot of pictures of Hope from Final Fantasy XIII. Here, have a preview!(Fake cut to my Journal)
I'm not sure why it took me so long to get these pictures up on my LJ. Anyway, I did a variation of the Dion Rogers fanart version of Rinoa from FF8. Just wanted to share :3 - fake cut back to my journal -

Basically 1 day left to work on stuff. I'm a bit over-stimulated from a steroid pack meant to help get me over my sinus crap, so what do I do at 1 am? Work on cosplay and bitch at my machine when it dun do what I wants it too. But, but, but! I have Cloud Progress! X-Posted to a few places. XD
Hey :)I'm currently making a Lulu outfit (which I will post pictures of myself cosplaying on a later date once it's finished) and I was wondering if there was any other Lulu cosplayers who knew the most effective way to do the belts on her skirt which wouldn't end up with them falling down.Thanks for the help ^.^
I'm thinking of revamping/editing my Gunner Yuna costume before my next convention. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what fabric to use on the yellow arm bands. I tried pleather, but it looked kinda funky and wasn't too stable on my arm.picture included:( Read more...Collapse )
